President – Jennifer Pontello email@example.com
My Name is Jennifer Pontello, I am the new President of the Little River Elementary PTA.
My husband and I have lived in South Riding for over ten years. We have one third grader who started at Little River in Kindergarten. Over the past four years I have enjoyed serving as the VP of Fundraising, helping in the front office, being a room mom, throwing events like Bingo and the School Dance and just trying to helping out where I can.
For over 15 years I worked as a Corporate Recruiter and for the last few years as a Realtor. I enjoy being a part of this community and getting to give back to a school that gives us so much.
I am excited for the 2018-2019 school year and look forward to working together to make it a great year at LRE!
1st Vice President Event/Activity Coordinator – Meredith Tomasulo firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello My name is Meredith Tomasulo and I am running for VP events.
I graduated from Lynchburg College and was an event planner for 13 years. I currently work for Origami Owl Custom Jewelry and I’m a Brownie Troop Leader. We moved here from the Philly ‘burbs in January of 2017 and I have tried to jump right in and get involved. I have a second grader Vanessa and third grader Gavin. I love helping out in the classroom and have volunteered on a few committees so far. I enjoy seeing the kids excited about school activities and really love the community spirit I feel at Little River.
My goal for next year is to help plan exciting events that engage all of the school community. I want to help bridge communication between the school families and the PTA and get more people involved. Hope to see you at the next event!
2nd Vice President Fundraising – Carrie Hanna email@example.com
My name is Carrie Hanna and I'm running for the position of Vice President, Fundraising. We recently moved to the Little River family and are excited to get to know everyone. We have been in Loudoun Schools for 3 years now as I have a daughter in second grade in Mrs. Devine's class and a daughter in kindergarten in Mrs Smith's class. I have enjoyed volunteering in my girls classrooms in our previous school and being involved with the previous PTA.
I was in charge of youth group fundraising for a local church for a number of years and that is where my background in fundraising lies.
I have a Bachelors of Arts from The Ohio State University, I also am a photographer in my free time. I look forward to the opportunity to help improve the PTA's impact on life at Little River and help our school move forward in positive educational directions.

I have enjoyed my time volunteering in the LRE classrooms and attending the many events held I support of the PTA. I would like to further contribute to LRE and the PTA with my service as treasurer.
I have a bachelor’s degree in finance and have spent the last 7 years working in finance/accounting for a federal government contractor. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to the opportunity to serve.
Secretary – Kerry Cooley firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi, my name is Kerry Cooley, and I am running for the position of PTA secretary for the 2018-2019 school year. For the first time, all three of my kiddos will be in school together. My oldest son is currently in third grade, my daughter is in first, and my youngest will start Kindergarten in the fall. With all three in school this fall, I look forward to having more time to support the PTA and volunteer in each of their classrooms.
We are a military family and moved to South Riding in August of 2017. This is the third state and fourth Elementary school my oldest has been enrolled in. I have been active on all of the PTOs- counting box tops, taking on the duties of room parent, organizing book fairs, and coordinating school spirit days. I have really enjoyed volunteering in the classrooms to support their teachers and get to know the kids and families within our new communities.
I have my master’s degree in Psychology and worked as the Director of Training for a company in New York City before starting my family. I look forward to serving the PTA and Little River Elementary.
Membership Coordinator – Nandita Theraja email@example.com
Hello everyone! my name is Nandita Theraja and I am excited to serve as your Membership Coordinator for the 2018-2019 school year. We have been part of the lovely South Riding community for past 8 years, we love this area and the enthusiasm the community has. I have enjoyed volunteering in my child's class and getting to know people through PTA activities. I have been room mom for my daughter’s class. I have a younger 3 year old preschooler in Montessori, where I try to volunteer my time as well.
I have a Bachelors in technology, majoring in Computer Science. I am glad to serve on the PTA board, as a chance to support the teachers and provide fun activities for the kids and also to be involved with the school to help and build the community.
Volunteer Coordinator – Aimee Comi firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi everyone, my name is Aimee Comi and I have accepted the position of Volunteer Coordinator for the 2018-2019 school year. I have two boys, one named Colin, who is finishing up his second grade year at Little River, and Liam who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2018.
I got my foot in the door at Little River from the beginning when my older son started Kindergarten having the opportunity to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the parents of his classmates. Since then I have had the chance to help out during many classroom and school wide events. I have also had the opportunity to serve as chair and co-chair for events such as Monster Mash Bingo Bash and the fall and spring fun runs. Each of these experiences has shown me the importance of getting parents involved and engaged in school happenings.
By taking on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for the PTA I hope to find ways to meet more parents and show them how exciting it can be to be a part of the comings and goings at Little River Elementary.
